The KEW 1062 is a robust, hand-held digital multimeter built for demanding field and laboratory environments. Its over-molded elastomer case and double-insulated design provide superior shock protection, while high-capacity UL-rated fuses ensure user safety under fault conditions. A built-in safety shutter on the current-input terminals prevents incorrect connections. The unit operates reliably across a wide temperature span (–20 to +55 °C) and up to 2000 m altitude.
At its core, the 1062 employs Σ-modulation A/D conversion for fast, precise readings. Its 5-digit, 50,000-count LCD with bar-graph indicator and backlight delivers clear visual feedback. It supports True-RMS and mean-value detection on AC measurements, switchable low-pass filtering, and a dedicated low-power-Ω mode for sensitive resistance checks.
Data logging is extensive: up to 100 manual saves and 10 000 logging points can be recorded at user-set intervals (1 s to 30 min).
