The TES1-12705 (commonly designated as TEC1-12705) is one of the most widely used mid-range, solid-state thermoelectric cooling modules on the market. It utilizes 127 internal semiconductor couples to actively pump heat away from one surface and reject it out the other when supplied with a DC current.
With its industry-standard 40mm x 40mm (4x4cm) footprint, this module strikes an ideal “sweet spot” for many applications. It draws up to 5A, offering a noticeable performance upgrade in cooling power over the 12704 model, while remaining significantly easier to power and cool than high-amperage 12706 or 12708 variations.
